How to Play

LIMITLESS is an OSR tabletop rpg played with paper, pencils, dice and a group of friends. One player becomes the Game Master (GM), guiding the adventure by describing the world and its challenges. Players create characters and decide how to interact with this world and use dice rolls to see what happens.

How to Play a Character

As a player, your role is to step into your character’s shoes, act out their choices, and help shape the story. Your character sheet shows your stats and gear, but LIMITLESS is designed to keep things simple. There are no complex skills, spells, or abilities to memorize—just decide what your character would do, and the GM will tell you what to roll.

The rule of cool

Great players make the game exciting by doing bold, cinematic things. Don’t hold back! Swing from the chandelier, shoot the rope holding up the bridge, or slide through a closing door! If it sounds awesome, go for it! Cool moves earn you Valor, which you can spend to reroll checks, attacks, or defense rolls.

How to GM

As the GM, your job is to make the game fun. Focus less on storytelling and more on scenario building. A goal, a challenge, and a time limit make for a good scenario. The fun comes out when the players figure out how to overcome these challenges. LIMITLESS is built for smooth gameplay without heavy rules, so focus on plot, not paperwork. Create a great setting, throw the players in, and let the dice guide the outcome.
